CA$H FOR CANDY!
Every year, the day after Halloween, November 1st, we host a community wide event called CA$H FOR CANDY. At this event we will be paying children $1.00 for every pound of candy they bring in and we will be giving away glowing electric toothbrushes to the first 300 kids that donate their candy.
This candy that we collect is then going to be sent to our troops serving overseas as part of their christmas care packages through operation gratitude (www.opgratitude.com). We realize not too many people like the war but everyone should love helping to support our troops. What a nice surprise this will be for our troops. (I will also be sending toothbrushes to the troops as well ;-).
We realize there is an increase in the amount of decay in our area that is devestating some childrens lives causing them pain. In todays economy a lot of parents cannot afford going to the dentist. Everyone knows that candy can cause decay, but we don't want to take the fun out of trick or treating. So we thought this would be a great way to 1. get some candy out of the kids hands while padding their piggy banks and 2. Help support our troops.
We will be offering raffle for the kids. This years raffle is for a Nintendo DS.
We will be paying CA$H for the first 1,000 pounds. If we collect more--GREAT! Kids and parents will still be able to enter in to the raffle for their donation.
Our office is located in Muskegon at 837 Seminole Road. It is on the Southwest corner of Seminole and Henry St.
This years event will take place Sunday, Nov. 1st from Noon-2pm with the raffle at 2pm.
